Andalou Naturals #Review and #giveaway ~US & CA

As you all know I am very careful with our foods. I am watching more and more about the stuff we eat making sure that we do not only avoid gluten, but also avoid MSG, GMO and more! So if I am avoiding putting chemicals in my body why shouldn’t I start watching what goes on my body? That is my next step of living healthy. Removing chemicals from my beauty products.

I have been on a search for an all natural skin care product that works on my picky skin. I came across Andalou Naturals (sponsor) during that search. I did not expect to find what I did when reviewing there site. First the basics from their site:

“We value knowing where our ingredients come from, the farmers who grow them, and connecting the human chain of hands that make every step possible from farm to bottle, soil to skin, and botany to beauty.

Our skin care, hair care and body care products are made thoughtfully and beautifully, blending advanced Fruit Stem Cell Science with natural and fair-trade ingredients, with a minimum 70% certified organic content, for visible and healthy results.”

Now that sounds perfect for me! But then I saw it. That little symbol that I am looking for on my foods showed up on a beauty brand! That is right- NON GMO! In January 2013 they partnered up with the Non-GMO product and became the first beauty line to become Non GMO verified! I was sold! But how well do their products work?

I received three products to try out: The Meyer Lemon Creamy Cleanser, The Lemon Sugar Facial Scrub, and the Mandarin Vanilla Vitalizing Body Lotion.

First I start my morning off with washing my face with the Lemon Creamy Cleanser. Using a Fruit Stem Cell Complex (cells from the Uttwiler Spatlauber apple- read more about the process here) and Manuka Honey this is rich in enzymes and antioxidents. It lifts away impurities while the lemon and vitamin c improves clarity, tone and texture of your skin. After using this I felt more refresh and like my face was clean!

Next I exfoliate with a sugar scrub. This also uses the Fruit Stem Cell Complex with the Manuka Honey, vitamin c and organic cane sugar. It lifts the impurities while gently exfoliating for an even skin tone. I loved how soft this made my skin feel. I also have some really bad grease burns on my wrist so I thought I would try it out on them. They have been getting lighter and less noticeable as time goes on.

Last is the Mandarin Vanilla body lotion. It smells as good as it sounds! The trend- fruit stem cell science helps renew the skin. It also contains organic aloe vera, sunflower and apricot oils to help hydrate, and nourish the skin. I make sure to use this after washing dishes and showering as it leaves my skin feeling soft. With well water we tend to get some dry skin going on and this helps. The scent isn’t strong but is strong enough to leave you hungry. It smells that good!

All of these products are made with out GMO’s, gluten and paraben preservatives and long lists of other things. They are Verified Gluten Free, 100% eco friendly, vegetarian and cruelty free as well!

You can either purchase these items on their website or find a store near you (they are also sold in canada and other countries). You can also find them on Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest!
