Warming up with a cup of Jiva

If you couldn’t tell from the picture this is a review of a product that makes things SIMPLE! As many of you know from my recipes I love simplicity when it comes to the kitchen. For example- I have a coffee maker and a tea kettle and I wish I only had to use just one of those. The other is just taking up space (which would also be why I am trying to get a keurig- then I can get rid of the tea kettle). But I digress.

I was recently provided the opportunity to try Jiva Cubs (sponsor). At first site- I won’t lie- I was scared. I am not a big coffee drinker and I thought with how compact the cubes were that it would be to strong. But alas I sucked it up and gave it a shot. Luckily I received a sample pack so I was able to try and experiment various flavors. The flavors I received are Classic Coffee, Caramel Coffee, Hazelnut Coffee, French Vanilla Coffee, Caramel Hot Chocolate, and Hot Chocolate.

So how does it work? Well first you open your desired flavor. I of course went for the Caramel Hot Chocolate first. Then you add your water or milk. Let it sit for 30 seconds then stir. That is it! When I first made it I used to much water and it was a bit weak. But then I tried it with about 5 oz of hot milk and it was perfect! The perfect amount of chocolate and caramel mixed into a rich heavenly bliss!
My husband on the other hand- steered away from the chocolate and went straight for the coffee. He tried just one cube in 6 oz of hot water. For the late night Popo that was not strong enough! The next morning while we were getting ready for work and he was running on 3 hours of sleep he combined the Caramel Coffee with the Classic coffee and really enjoyed it! It had just the right amount of flavoring he likes.
These are really nice for something quick. I often have warm water in my tea kettle because of how much Chai I drink (that is another story for another day though lol). So I liked these cubes for when hubby is in a rush!

I wasn’t really a fan of the Jiva with water, but I’m not a fan of anything with water. If I can choose between milk or water, always milk. But I LOVED being able to mix the different Jiva flavors and control the strength of the coffee! It’s perfect instead of fighting with my boyfriend over whether to have a strong or weak pot of coffee every morning since we have different tastes!

I agree that the milk seemed to make it so much better. It’s time for me to reorder. Especially since my hubby used the last hot chocolate. Grrrr…lol
