Back to School with Canyon Bakehouse

Well we are a full month and a few weeks into school. That means back into the school chaos routine and making lunches. Being gluten free you know that sending lunches is a must. And it has to be cold friendly. It isn’t like you can heat up left over taco meat, or a left over pizza. So chances are your family is like mine and go through a lot of sandwiches. And yes there are options for breads, but today I want to let you know about Canyon Bakehouse!

Canyon Bakehouse has a mission of getting people to love bread again. They have a passion for making real food with wholesome ingredients and they do that well!

I received some of their bread to facilitate a review with. The loaves I received were their Mountain White,  the Cinnamon Raisin and the 7 Grain. All of these were certified Gluten Free and Kosher Pareve.

The Mountain White is soft and full of flavor. Not only that but each slice has 2 grams of protein and 2 grams of fiber! Those are two ingredients that are missing out of most gluten free breads. My daughter loved having this with her peanut butter sandwiches. I was able to try it with a BLT. Either way it was really good.

Their Cinnamon Raisin is made with whole grains and fresh raisins. They use agave syrup for some extra sweetness. The cinnamon flavoring is just enough to make this a perfect snack. I loved toasting it and having some cinnamon sugar toast. My daughter likes this as toast with some peanut butter on it. But don’t let the cinnamon and agave syrup fool you. It also has the extra protein and fiber to make this a healthy option!

Last but not least, the 7 Grain.  My daughter was not as fond of this one, and I have not had a chance to try it. But she still says it tastes good. She is just more of a white bread person. The 7 grain is soft as well. And yes, you guess it- has the protein and fiber.

You can order these breads online through their website or use their store locator to find a location near you.  Be sure to also follow them on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram for any up to date information or new products!

~I received the above products in order to facilitate an honest review. No other form of compensation was exchanged. Regardless the above thoughts are my own and honest opinions.~
