I am a very busy mom. Constantly on the go, and it can at times lead to Chaos just to get everything straight. In fact- I even have a color coordinated calender to help me get through the days. But what it doesn’t do is remind me to EAT!
Last month in my Taste Guru box there were some amazing protein bars called NoGii D-Lites. These little bars were wonderful! They were a chocolate caramel and just amazing! NoGii was created by Elisabeth Hasselbeck. Elisabeth was diagnosed with Celiac and in 2009 brought it to light with her book “The G-Free Diet: A Gluten Free Survival Guide”. She has sense been involved in the creation of NoGii, from the logo to product formulations.
Well, this past week I have been able to try some more of their products! I received some of their High Protein Bars and I have got to tell you- With the chaos of this week they were a lifesaver.
Now I received 3 flavors to try and I have been pleased with all of them. One was Peanut Butter and Chocolate- perfect match in my opinion. And the positive is this one only had 8 grams of fat and 9 grams of sugar! The next morning I had a chocolate mint one. Again you would think loaded with sugar. Nope! 17 grams of protein, 8 grams of fat and (a bit higher amount) 14 grams of sugar.
Now my favorite Chocolate Coconut. I am not a big coconut person. I actually can not stand it plain or anything strong. But this- Oh my yum! OK to picture this taste think of Girl Scout Cookies- now think of Caramel DeLites as they are known in my region (Samoas in others). Oh yeah. Has that flavor exactly! I was in love from the first bite! they were amazing!
They also have a Whey & Quinoa Protein Powder that I have not had a chance to try some of yet. I did receive some but just haven’t had a chance to make it. I will be sure to let you know as soon as I do though! I can only imagine how good it is after trying their other products!
I am definitely going to be picking up some more of these. With the busy weeks we tend to have with boy scouts, piano and soon riding lessons again and baseball. I need the energy and I often don’t have time to eat to get it.
What is one way you stay energized when constantly on the go?
~I received the above products in order to facilitate an honest review. No other form of compensation was exchanged. Regardless the above thoughts are my own and honest opinions. ~
