After last weeks Project 52 Photos where I featured my Blue Family I was ready to move on and tackle this week’s theme of Light. But mother nature had other plans apparently. It did not involve as much lighting as I would of liked! It involved rain after rain. In less than 36 hours we received 5.3 inches of rainfall. My highway was flooded so I couldn’t get into town. So I took advantage of what I could get:
The sun! After days of cloud and rain and finally came out! I love how it is reflecting off of all the water in the Pasture… Yep you read that right- that is suppose to be a field full of grass and horses (the horses are fine). I was really worried that I would have to show you a picture of us living the old fashioned way with all the storms that rolled through but luckily we never lost power. We did however, make a fire one night before the rain came so here is another form of light that I love:
I love the glow from a camp fire. I love the smell of it, I love the smores that come from it, and since my grill is broken and we don’t have AC it may be my form of cooking this summer.
This was a fun theme that our hosts Marvelous Mommy, Sarah, and Angie picked out for us. This week’s theme is MOVEMENT so get out there and move!
Show us your light and join along HERE.
Wow, the water in the pasture looks like a lake! Gorgeous photo! I love the reflection of the sun.
Thank you! It really was perfect timing! There was a lot more water around earlier in the day. Sadly we are still not seeing a lot of sun- Just a lot of clouds and rain!

I love a good campfire
and hey at least you were able to capture the sun at least once with all that rain 🙂
Exactly! We have been in a non stop trend of raining at night, sunny during the day. But at least the flooding is going down!
