This summer we decided we would feature things that are near us to show the fun our own state offers. I wanted to start with a really fun festival- Nebraskaland Days in North Platte, NE. This event is about 10 days long and takes place in June. During it you can catch concerts, a parade, art shows, carriage driving contests and so much more family fun and even some adult fun.
We were able to start our trip in North Platte with a Rodeo! The Buffalo Bill Rodeo is a PRCA rodeo that features bull riding, bronc riding and more! We pulled up to the parking and were greeted by people on horseback directing us as to where to park. The walk up to the arena was not that far either. We made it through the ticket line very quickly as well so everything rain smoothly. The seats we had were general admission seats and, as you can tell from my picture, the view was not bad where we were. The rodeo itself was a lot of fun to watch. The kids could not believe the bull riding part of it, they were just fascinated with it. I just watched those guys and thought- man their backs have got to be sore with the way they flopped around on those horses and bulls. One of my daughter’s favorite part was the barrel racing though. Now she wants to start learning how to do that!
If you are looking for some fun, entertainment, wild west towns and more I highly recommend checking out Nebraskaland Days next summer! It starts June 15th, 2016! You can stay tuned to the schedule and line by visiting the Nebraskaland Days website!
~I received complimentary tickets for my family to enjoy a night at the rodeo. No other form of compensation was exchanged. ~
