Sleeping in with Super 8 #VisitNP #Roadtrip

Ok so maybe we didn’t sleep in. The kids wish we could have let them sleep longer but the Popo wanted to go to Dunkin Donuts since we do not have one near us.

While on our trip we had the pleasure of staying at a Super 8 in North Platte. This hotel was easy to access from the interstate was close to all the attractions so it was a good spot to stay! Check in was quick and easy and the people there were friendly. The lobby was nice and clean and very welcoming as well. Once we checked in we went straight to the rodeo before going to our room. It was shortly after 10 by the time we finally saw our room. It was a non smoking with two beds- however they were just full size so mental note for myself- make sure to get a room with queen size! The popo and I had an interesting time sharing a full size bed when we are used to a king size.

These are the few pictures I got of the room. As you can see the decor is a bit out dated but it was comfortable and it was clean! On the beds were little gift bags waiting for us. 2 for the kids and they each had an activity book that was age appropriate for a card game, colored pencils and bubbles. For us adults there was coozies and pens and a few other things. The room had a mini fridge and a microwave (with being GF that came handy) and then a coffee maker that was kind of like a keurig. The Popo says the coffee was actually good- just not enough for what he was used to so we of course had to go get some more coffee during breakfast! The beds were nice and firm, which for me was good.  The kids did have a hard time sleeping on a firm mattress but I am not sure if it was the mattress or the fact of it wasn’t their room or both.

On the morning of check out we did check out their continental breakfast. It was a good thing I brought cereal bars for Little Miss and I. There was some fruit and yogurt but that was about it for us. For the boys though- toast, cereal, cinnamon rolls, waffles and a few other things.  After we ate we checked out. Again the staff was friendly, we did have one minor issue with the room which we reported and hopefully they took care of it. Otherwise I was overall pleased with our stay there and would give it a 4 star review out of 5 if I was rating it on a travel site.

If you are planning a visit to North Platte you can check out rates and details for the Super 8 on their website.

~I received 2 complimentary nights stays at this hotel in exchange for an honest review. No other compensation was exchanged. Regardless this above thoughts are my own and honest opinions.~
