Business Opportunity #WAHM

So I have mentioned on of the things keeping busy is my new business with The Cocoa Exchange. I haven’t really talked much about this but felt I needed to share with you. It is possible to make some extra money while doing what you love if cooking is your passion like it is mine.

I considered the many amazing companies out there and I still order from them. But I had to find something that wasn’t in my small little section of the world. That was when I was introduced to Dove Chocolate Discoveries- instant love- I started selling a little over a year ago and have grown so much and had amazing opportunities and I was so close to earning a trip to Jamaica in my first year! That is something to be proud of.

White Chocolate Raspberry Honey Mustard #DCD

I am really excited! So awhile back I announced that I had joined Dove Chocolate Discoveries and even shared a Stir Fry Recipe featuring one of their products. Well today I want to introduce you to one of our new products released just this past month:  White Chocolate Raspberry Honey Mustard!

Ok no crinkling your nose yet, trust me. So This White Chocolate Raspberry Honey Mustard is a mouthful. But oh is it worth it. Even if you don’t like chocolate (yes I have actually had people say that) or maybe it is the raspberry thought making that nose crinkle. The thing I like about this dipping sauce is- It really isn’t an over bearing taste of either one! I am on the not big on Raspberry side of things and seriously the taste is so subtle. My husband on the other hand is 100% abnormal and isn’t big on chocolate- he LOVES this dipping sauce.

Stir Fry with a twist #DCD #DoveChocolateDiscoveries

Sorry this isn’t one of my best pictures. I honestly had no intentions about blogging about this. It was just to good to not share with you!  I did a post a while back about Dove Chocolate Discoveries. Well after spending lots of money buying their products I thought I would sign up. And that has been the best decision I have made! I am getting to experience all new ways of enjoying cocoa. Including in every day cooking.

A Tasteful Breakfast from @tastefullysimpl

I am loving this fall season. We just moved into the house and if I haven’t mentioned already we have apple trees! I love apple flavoring in things like bread, cakes, pies! But there are times where I honestly just don’t have the time to make something from scratch.

As you know from past posts, Tastefully Simple has started a line of Gluten Free options! If you have missed that memo, you are missing out! They now offer Gluten Free Beer Bread, Brownies, Apple Cinnamon Cake, Pizza Crust, Pound Cake, and that is just a few of them. I have tried them all and have not been disappointed with any of the products! I am so glad that they are starting to give us options to enjoy!

Getting Ready for the Holidays with @BestBuy #holidayprep

Where has time gone?!?!?! It seems like we just started school the other day! But the weather is changing and we are getting closer and closer to the Holiday season. For me that means a lot of cooking!

With being gluten free we do a ton of baking for Thanksgiving and Christmas. Having the proper appliances to hold up to our holiday cooking chaos is important. The sad part is. This year all of our appliances will turn 11 years old. I am just dreading the day that they die out on us. So I am starting to keep my eye open for what exactly I want. But I can’t decide! I know I want a double sided fridge. I am also in need of a dishwasher. My kids and I are having a hard time keeping up with all the cooking we do around here. But my biggest battles are the stoves! What do I want more? Gas? electric? Oh the choices.

Strawberry Muffins ~Recipe

Lately the wonderful Good Cook Bloggers have been talking about Bread. Oh how I love bread! And one of them has created a recipe book called “Make Ahead Bread: 100 Recipes for Bake-It-When-You-Want-It Yeast Breads“. So it inspired us to give some bread recipes a go! Now Donna over at Cookistry has some amazing recipes! So it is only right for her to create a cook book!

Right now you preorder this cookbook from Amazon. Plus when you do preorder Donna’s book, Good Cook will send you a free loaf pan! All you have to do to redeem your pan is enter in the preorder information HERE.

So in celebration for this wonderful event and because I had received some strawberries to try out from Wyman’s (you can view that review HERE). I thought I would make Strawberry Muffins. I am in love with my Good Cook Muffin pan so any excuse to use it is good for me! Now, I will confess- this recipe is not 100% my own. My daughter has been wanting to make a recipe out of her Strawberry Shortcake cook book. In it was  recipe for Blueberry Muffins. So I converted it to Gluten Free and used Strawberries instead!

So here is what you need:

  • 3 cups of flour- I used Betty Crocker Rice flour- do not pack into the cup
  • 3 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp salt *I omit this because my flour blend has salt in it*
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cups milk
  • 1 stick melted butter
  • 2 cups chopped strawberries

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

First in a medium bowl mix together the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.

In another bowl mix together, sugar, eggs, milk and butter.

Slowly add the flour mixture to the milk mixture until well blended.

With a wooden spoon slowly add in your strawberries and mix well!

Spoon into a prepared muffin pan until 3/4 full. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until toothpick comes out clean.

This makes about 30 muffins!

Simple and easy and fun for the kids to help with! Be sure to check out some of the other great bread recipes listed below! Also don’t forget to preorder Donna’s book!

~I am receiving a credit from Good Cook in exchange for promoting the book. Regardless this recipe is one I wanted to share for everyone to enjoy! ~
