Mini Pizzas with @GlutinoFoods #EnglishMuffins

008

Every once in awhile I love playing with my food. No it isn’t the kind of playing with my food that you think. I love seeing what I can do with what I have. One night a few weeks ago I really wanted pizza, but not wanting to make pizza dough I opted for a different method. English Muffins!

Now I am sure you all have done this before. But if not- it is a perfect way to make your own pizzas and the kids have fun helping! It is real simple:

Summer Traveling with @GlutinoFoods

Sheraton7

It is officially summer time! I love that my job allows me to be off during the summer with the kids! It makes doing fun things easier to do. This summer we have a few things planned.

Instead of traveling any place to far we will be doing more of a Staycation this year. We will be going to a nearby city that I honestly can say I have never been to in all my years living in this state! I can not wait to go! We will be seeing a rodeo, touring a couple of places. It is just a little 2 day getaway this year but it will still be fun!

We also have some camps planned for the kids. One will be to a church camp, and then the other is just your VBS that you see around towns/cities. Then my son has cub scout camp. Lots of camps! We are also hoping to do some camping of our own at a reenactment (hopefully).

Rich & Creamy Peanut Butter Pie #Recipe

026

A few weeks ago I was presented with a challenge for a heart shaped dish. Well I could not make up my mind between two pies and I went with a strawberry one. Since then I have been craving my other idea- a Peanut Butter Pie. But not only did it sound good, it was all I could think of and how good it would taste with Chocolate Covered pretzels. Since I had some extra time off this weekend I decided I was going to make it!

This pie is a really easy no bake pie recipe. For the crust I used Glutino’s Fudge Pretzels¬†with a few other ingredients. I recommend making the pie the night before you need it so it has plenty of time to set. Here is what I did:

Glutino and the amazing Soft Bread ~ #Review

I have introduced you to some amazing Glutino (sponsor) products in the past. Glutino has easily become one of my favorite go to brands since going gluten free. I have yet to find a product of theirs that is not amazing!

I was recently sent some of their bread to give it a try. I received a loaf of White and a loaf of Multigrain bread.

Let’s start with the White:

This was a lighter, more fluffy bread that what you see with gluten free breads. It also were larger slices. There was something about this bread that reminded me of a sourdough bread. We normally toast our bread for simple sandwiches but this one made a great peanut butter and jelly with out being toasted! So that was nice.

The Multigrain bread- My daughter wasn’t to big on this one, but I really enjoyed it! It tasted great as a sandwich or even just some simple cinnamon sugar toast!

They also have a cinnamon raisin bread. That one I am going to have to check out one of these days. We love cinnamon raisin bread!

These breads really are amazing. I love the taste and the texture of them. Another favorite part of them for me is the cost. They are really priced decently for a gluten free product and it does not sacrifice the quality.

Getting through the Holiday’s with Glutino!

Well the Holiday’s are behind us and we managed to find a few new goodies to help us through. We have strayed from doing a stuffing because I was to afraid to make a gluten free one. Our bread is so expensive I would hate to make something with it and not have it taste good.

This year we gave Glutino’s (sponsor) Corn Bread Stuffing mix a try. This could not of been any easier. You just add a few ingredients pour into a pan and bake according to the directions. Now, I am not a big stuffing person and even I enjoyed this! My husband and daughter loved it a lot! I am sitting here thinking- I found exactly what I need to make my Swiss Chicken with!

We were also able to try out their Sugar Cookie Mix. These cookies are so simple to make. They turned out soft and chewy which is different then most GF foods (hard and crunchy). They honestly did not last long in our house! This is something I can see making again!

I am hoping that Glutino will keep the stuffing around for more then just the holiday season. There are so many recipes I have that call for stuffing so I can see this being a product I would buy often! You can learn more about these and other great products at Glutino.com as well as on their facebook page, twitter and pinterest.

Breakfast with Glutino! ~Reviews

One thing I have missed more then anything since going gluten free are my breakfast sandwiches. When I was working for an insurance company their cafeteria would make the most amazing bagel sandwiches or english muffin sandwich. And up until this past month I honestly have not been able to make one to compare.

In comes Glutino (sponsor), one of my main go to brands. I have yet to come across something of theirs that I have not liked! I was really excited when I saw that they made English Muffins! And that is not all:

Yep- bagels! Now I have had some gluten free bagels in the past, but honestly- they do not compare! I was like a little school girl when I received the English Muffins in the mail. But I just had to try the bagels to so I drove 45 minutes to Walmart and grabbed a package of bagels! Both were amazing! Now the best way to make a sandwich:

Fry up an egg (breaking the yolk), add some bacon, some cheese. Toast the bagel or English Muffin and spread some butter on it. Put it all together- a sandwich for a queen!

These were amazing. Sorry I would of taken a picture- but they were just too good! The bagel tasted great with some cream cheese as well. I am just in love with these products! I am not a big breakfast person so when I can make something to eat on the go I am happy!

In a Chocolate Heaven with @GlutinoFoods

Ever have one of those days where you are ready to throw your hands up and surrender. I had one of those a few weeks ago. Nothing was going right that day. I was stressed, had an enormous headache and spent a day getting yelled at by one of my students (she is autistic). I was venting to my dearest friend Jess, from Ramblings of a Caffeinated Army Wife, when I walked in the door and saw it. A box that said- Glutino (sponsor).

Seeing the label on this package alone made my day. I love Glutino and as you know from my first review I am now a blogger for them! I was not expecting a package so soon from getting my first one done but I was not going to complain! Then I opened it and then all the wrongs went away- Chocolate! Nothing matters when their is chocolate around!

I of course did not hesitate to open up the box of Gluten Free Milk Chocolate Wafers. Oh chocolate! Just what I needed and these were perfect! Crisp and full of flavor! They were amazing! I keep them in the fridge because they taste a bit better chilled. Now if only they had peanut butter in them they would be like those nutty bars (oh I miss those).

The other goody had to wait a day or so to make. But man was it worth it! In my surprise package was a box of the Double Chocolate Brownie. These were really easy to make, just add a few ingredients and put them in the oven. These were soft and gooey and just all around perfect. Hubby thought it was to chocolaty. I say there is no such thing so my kids and I ate them!

Yet again I am not disappointed with the Glutino brand! I love their products and recommend them to all those who are starting out gluten free. You can learn more about their products by visiting their website where you can also find a coupon every now and then. Also be sure to check them out on Facebook, Pinterest and Twitter!
