Mini Pizzas with @GlutinoFoods #EnglishMuffins

Every once in awhile I love playing with my food. No it isn’t the kind of playing with my food that you think. I love seeing what I can do with what I have. One night a few weeks ago I really wanted pizza, but not wanting to make pizza dough I opted for a different method. English Muffins!

Now I am sure you all have done this before. But if not- it is a perfect way to make your own pizzas and the kids have fun helping! It is real simple:

Little Passports Subscription Box ~Review

Ever wanted to take your kids around the world? Maybe go on an adventure full of exploring and mystery?

Little Passports (sponsor) allows you to do just that with out leaving your home! I love subscription boxes and this one is no different! It is fun and educational for your kid! Little Passports has 2 options. You can follow Sam & Sofia around the world, or just around the US. Each month your child will receive a package from Sam & Sofia that tells of new places and the adventures it comes with.

Our package came with a map of the world, a passport and a welcome letter from Sam & Sofia. The box was a really cute and surprisingly sturdy suit case!  I am pretty sure my kids were more excited about the suit case then anything else! They still play with it and now the pretend to “travel”. They walk around with the suit case and map and plan where they are going. I love seeing them so interested in learning about new places and cultures.

Also in the suit case came a little puzzle so they could try to guess where they are going next. This may be one subscription box I am glad I received!

You can sign up for Little Passports on their website! Their world box is recommended for ages 5-10 years old and Little Passports USA Edition for 7-12 year olds. If you are still looking for that perfect Christmas gift this would be a great one to give! Prices on each run from $10-95-$13.95 depending on which plan level you go for (one month, 12 month or 6 month).

So grab your kids and go exploring! What are you waiting for!

Let me take you to Rio, #Rio2 that is!

OK, so my students think I am odd because I can pretty much quote Rio….OK well just about any kid movie but shhhh that is our secret!

Back to Rio- I love that movie! The music, the humor, the fun. My daughter, who is just slightly obsessed with birds, has to watch this movie often. So I was really excited when I found out that they are coming out with a Rio 2!!!!!!!!

Yep. On April 11th you can join Blu, Jewel and their kids take flight to the Amazon! But it isn’t the vacation you think! Blu has to try hard to fit in and the villainous Nigel makes a return. No fear though! Blu still has his helps from his friends during this trip! Filled with the same fun loving cast this movie is sure to be just as good as Rio was!  Here is a sneak peak for you from 20th Century Fox!

Rio 2 will be released in theaters nation wide on April 11th!  Stay up to date with trailers and release information  by following them on  Facebook Twitter, Youtube and the Official Rio Website!

The Snowmen Family ~#craft

I love doing crafts with the kids. I must admit, I have zero crafting abilities. I can come up with something once in a blue moon but it may not look the greatest or work the way it is suppose to. But for some reason I felt like crafting the other night. We do not have a fire place so I do not have a place to hang our stockings. I wanted to try to create something that I could use. This is one of those- looks cute but isn’t working the way I want situations lol.

I have a slight snowman fetish. I have snowmen every where so when I found my large clothes pins from Oriental Trading I knew exactly what I wanted to do!

What you need is some giant clothes pins and some acrylic paint. I painted one side of the pin white, painted the top black, then painted on the face, scarf and buttons. Since I didn’t have orange I simply mixed yellow and red paint together. I used a fine brush for the face and buttons but a wide brush for the black and white paint. It was simple. Took me about 2 minutes for each snow man.

This craft was so simple and easy. My kids had a blast and are asking to make more! Now the hard part- to figure out how to make them work. I was going to place them on the window but the weight of the stocking is to heavy. They can be really cute card holders or picture holders (which is what I originally got them to make). I am thinking I am going to find a garland, maybe blue & silver) and “hang” them on that with the stocking. That way I can hang it on the wall or across the window. I will figure it out one way or another!

You can find this craft along with many other crafts, recipes and other goodies on our Celebrate Christmas Blog hop so be sure to check it out!

Snails- Safe Nails ~ #Review

My daughter is such a girly girl. She loves to wear dresses and get her hair and nails done. But she bites her nails so I worry about what is going into her mouth!

I was approached by a company called Snails- and asked to do a review. I couldn’t resist! Their products are all natural, non toxic, and washes off with just some soap and water! Here is a bit more from their site:

NAILS founder Jeanette Sklivanou is both a mother of two and the CEO of Safe N Beautiful cosmetics company, so she understands that ‘child-friendly’ products are not all created equal. Many remain laden with harmful toxins and harsh chemicals. That’s why Jeanette has invested considerable time and effort ensuring SNAILS nail polish is wholly safe for children and expectant mums. Since 2011 we have been helping children enjoy imaginative play minus harmful chemicals”

With Snails you will find products that are:

  • 100% European Made
  • Non Toxic
  • Completely Water Base: washes off with soap and water so no harsh polish remover needed
  • Packaged Lead Free: They come in pure Italian Glass Bottles with a custom design for kids
  • and Stain Free: with it being entirely soluble it will wash off completely from clothes and carpets!
The nail polish came in a cute little bag and each bottle had a matching bow on it.
I received a pink and purple color. We have used them both and I got to say I love these! I did my daughter’s nails one morning. By the time she finished dishes that evening (we hand wash) the polish was completely off! So it did not even scrub them. It was like they just dissolved in the soap water. I am really glad I had a chance to try these out!
You can learn more about Snails by visiting You can also find some in Chicago and in Mainville OH! So keep watch! You never know where you can find them next!
