#Project52Photos Week 31 ~ Music!

Whimsy & Hope by Sarah Halstead
This week’s Project 52 was a fun one! I was able to take you guys out of the box for it! Thank you to our hosts Marvelous MommySarah, and Angie for picking Music as the theme!
I love music. It never fails that I have some sort of music going at some point. And in the car I am usually belting out the songs. I grew up in a musical family. I was in band and show choir. My sister was in those too but also did musicals. I could go on about all the music in our family. But with that comes a unique sense of music. I hear it every where. In the birds, the wind, the trees. Here is one other form of music I hear:

#Project52Photos Week 29- Long Exposure

Whimsy & Hope by Sarah Halstead
Another week has come and gone. Thank you to our hosts,  Marvelous MommySarah, and Angie. for coming up with themes that make me think and challenge me.  This week our theme was Long Exposure. Now when I was doing my online photography course I did learn some about playing with the exposure.  However, when you live in the middle of a bunch of corn fields getting the shot is not always easy to do. So I am sad to say- I did not get any fresh shots this week. I do however, have some shots from the past that I personally love so I will share them with you. Since we are talking exposure I will also put my camera settings with the picture. I use a Canon T4i for my photography.

This first one is from our trip to Kansas City last summer. It was the view from our hotel room and as a city girl- I was in love. It was absolutely beautiful to me. My camera was set up with an ISO of 100, f/4, with an 8 sec exposure time. The dark line you see on the bottom was me using the window ledge as the tripod since I did not have one. But I still love how this one turned out. This was after my photography courses. I still have some improvement to do.

#Project52Photos Week 27~ Patriotic

Whimsy & Hope by Sarah Halstead

I a bit behind in getting this posted again! I apologize for that. It has been a crazy weekend. First I would like to thank Sara and Angie for featuring my Haze picture from last week. This week the them that our hosts, Marvelous MommySarah, and Angie, picked was the very fitting theme of Patriotic. With 4th of July last weekend it was really easy to get something patriotic.

So I am still mastering my fireworks skills. It didn’t help that I did not have a tripod. I really need to get one by next year. So my first photos came out something like this:

@Project52Photos Week 26 ~ Haze

Whimsy & Hope by Sarah Halstead

Back on track this week! It is week 26 of Project 52 Photos and this weeks theme was HAZE. Now I know our hosts, Marvelous MommySarah, and Angie, didn’t plan this. But Mother Nature had perfect timing for HAZE. All week it has been hazy because of forest fires up in Canada. While I feel bad for those affected by these fires and for the forest, it has made for some beautiful sunset shots! I tried to get a normal scene but the haze just wouldn’t show up in my camera. But this is what I did get:

Sorry! I am a bit behind on posting this! It has been a crazy and busy week this week. We went on a trip then our kids left for bible camp and just over all craziness! Now on to this week- Week 25- FOOD!!!!!!!!!!!! Being a food blogger this should of been easy. But truth is- I didn’t cook much. I was going to show you a picture of Dunkin Donuts I was bad and had on my trip. But then tragedy struck! My grill died! I mean died died. Gone to grill heaven after almost 12 years of love and endless cooking during the summer. So what is a girl to do when her grill is broke and you don’t want to heat up the house. Well you do this:

#Project52Photos Week 23- Movement

Whimsy & Hope by Sarah Halstead

Happy Friday! It has been a busy week here as usual! We actually were able to capture a lot of movement. We were suppose to get some storms and I joked about how it would be cool to capture a Tornado for you guys. Luckily though- all we got was a bunch of rain…. Again! So what to show you out of all the pictures I got? Honestly I had a ton I thought would be fun to share. The popo driving a tractor, the giant hole in our drive way from the earthing “moving” thanks to rain. My dog hitching a ride on our flat bed trailer. But this one I thought was just to fun not to share:

#Project52Photos Week 22~ Let there be light

Project 52 BUTTON

After last weeks Project 52 Photos where I featured my Blue Family I was ready to move on and tackle this week’s theme of Light. But mother nature had other plans apparently.  It did not involve as much lighting as I would of liked! It involved rain after rain. In less than 36 hours we received 5.3 inches of rainfall. My highway was flooded so I couldn’t get into town. So I took advantage of what I could get:
